Teen Acting Group

Join this teen acting group and learn the skills it takes to produce a show. In this year-long course, students will pick a classic novel, read and analyze it, and then write a play inspired by it in the first semester. The second semester, collaboratively, the students will edit their play and then produce it. As the students analyze the literature, they will have assignments to write about theme, character motivations, and more. With writing the play, the students will learn the art of realistic dialogue and workshopping their ideas. For their performance, they will learn acting skills in a safe environment with other supportive teens. The students will have the opportunity to shape the story they want to tell. Find your voice and let it be heard. A great way to fulfill Visual and Performing Arts requirements for high school.
